For over 60 years, Camp Sokil (UNF-Toronto), on the shores of Lake Simcoe, has offered extraordinary experiences for generations of members (visitors, campers, seasonal renters, and property owners). In lieu of the annual summer children’s/youth camp, UNF Toronto plans to host Displaced Families arriving from Ukraine in the camp facilities.

Camp Sokil Retreat is a 5 day program (Thursday to Monday) offering families reprieve and respite at Camp Sokil Retreat on Lake Simcoe. Visiting families will be sheltered and fed in the existing camp facilities. They will have the opportunity to participate in organized programs (exercise, arts and crafts, games, sports, bonfires, singing, and other activities) that are targeted for the entire family; as well as some children/youth oriented activities, that will give parents (mother) some breathing space. Current members who are on-site during the season are invited to join in the activities and make fresh connections with new members of our community. Overall, there will be opportunity to rest, relax, mingle, network, gain new skills, enjoy nature, make new friends, and become part of an extended family.
