If you are experiencing stress, know that you are not alone. We invite newcomers from Ukraine to join our FREE Wellness Program.
Our Wellness Program is designed to help you build a support system; create a safe space to learn how to cope with your stress; and learn how to help your children deal with their emotions.
- Learn practical skills to help you deal with stress and anxiety
- Give your life meaning, purpose, and energy
- Identify the signs of distress in your child
- Learn how to support a child who has gone through a traumatic experience

Description: Make this first step to meeting new people by joining our community of like-minded individuals. We will present you with interesting topics for discussion and hands-on activities.

Support for Women
Description: Our Art for Wellness session is an immersion into the creative process of making a Vision Board. Participants will visualize their dreams and goals using various art materials. It’s a great opportunity to focus on personal desires, get inspired, and find new ways to achieve personal and professional dreams. No artistic skills are needed—just a desire to create and share positive energy in a friendly atmosphere.

Parent and Child Wellness Session
Moving to a new country can be stressful for most people, especially against the background of war in their native country. We lose past connections but gain new ones. A person going through the same thing as you, can best understand and support you. When we find like-minded people and friends, adapting becomes much easier. We invite you to our community for communication and acquaintance.
Description
Acquaintance and pleasant conversation over a cup of coffee or tea with other newcomers from Ukraine. An interesting topic for discussion and exchange of experience. Information on various services and activities for newcomers.

5k Youth Running Group: Ages 14-18
Our Youth Running Group for newcomers builds community and friendships while offering a safe space for participants to engage in healthy coping habits. Through elements of goal setting, self-monitoring, and mindfulness; youth will learn more about themselves and gain confidence, all while having fun with their peers. These sessions will end with refreshments and a debrief with one of our mental health professionals. All levels of runners are welcome!

Training Programs
Psychological First Aid (PFA)
- Extended – 5 hour in-person interactive training session for anybody with frequent and prolonged interactions with displaced individuals – (e.g. counselors, activity coordinators). The extended training is coupled with the Ukrainian Sensitivity Seminar. The objective is to raise awareness of specific situational considerations that may be faced by the Canadian community – volunteers working with displaced individuals
- Condensed – 2 hour training session for community volunteers, workplace, schools, hosts, or anybody working with displaced individuals, etc.

Ukrainian Sensitivity Seminar
The Ukrainian Sensitivity Seminar shares field experiences from Ukraine; and raises awareness about potential situational considerations that members of the Canadian community may encounter when interacting with displaced individuals. The seminar (2 hrs) is appropriate for community volunteers, workplace, schools, hosts, or anybody working with displaced individuals, etc.
